Well, on the night of Tuesday, it had
started to snow. It had got me very excited! I had not seen snow in a year, so
a couple hours in the snow fall, I decided to go outside and enjoy it. My
brother eventually came outside with me, and we walked around the neighborhood.
Well, sort of. The snow had started to fall down as if all the little ice
crystals were trying to hit us, trying to freeze us alive. As if we’ve ever
done anything to the snow in the past! So, after a few minutes of our faces
being frozen and overall being really uncomfortable, we went back home where it
was warm, comfortable, and you could actually feel your skin.
When I had got comfortable, I had decided
to do some more homework because I enjoy getting it done early. It takes a load
off. So I did my math and science, which wasn’t too difficult, and then just
played guitar and looked out the window until I had gone to sleep.
The next day, I woke up to my brother
asking me if I wanted to go sledding. I of course said yes, and I got up
immediately. I dressed up and an hour later, we had set off. We had picked up
everyone who was going and then we arrived at the sledding sight. And the
police were there, too. I guess that they didn’t want anyone getting hurt on a
hill the smaller than a boulder. I’m kidding, of course, but still, it was
impossible for anyone to get hurt. So we went back to one of our friend’s house,
and went sledding at the park at their house, which had no one in sight. We
drifted in the parking lot with a friend’s truck, my hands froze off because I didn’t
have or own gloves, and we would sled down a hill with no police car in our
way.
As I was going to sleep that night, one of
my teachers emailed me and all the others students in her class that there was
not going to be any school the next day. This was exciting, but it was also disappointing
to hear. It gave me more time to finish all my homework, but I was going to
perform that night at the sampler which was cancelled. But, overall exciting.
Well, thanks snow! It was great having you around! See you… Well, probably in
the next year or two.
